Support Camp Evergreen
Donors & Volunteers,
Camp Evergreen would simply not exist without the ongoing help and support of those who so generously give both of their resources and their time. From making the camp experience possible for a deserving child to literally getting your hands dirty (and probably the rest of you too!) working on our property, we have so many ways for you to get involved. We invite you to partner with us in ministry in whatever way God directs you, and we know that your efforts will help children grow and thrive in Christ.
Sincerely,
Katie Grady
Camp Director
Ways to Support
Lend a Hand
Camp Evergreen offers volunteer opportunities to both groups and individuals. We’re grateful for all those who support camp!
-
Help us build raised beds and plant our kitchen garden with perennials, herbs and veggies for use this summer.
-
Help us clear creek-front space near our playground for an additional play space or help us clear a play area on boys hill.
-
We would love some original artwork to spruce up our Nature Center and Dining Hall and we'd love to have a huge mural for our barn wall.
-
Help us clear and maintain hiking trails on camp property.
-
Help us build new activity sheds —the plans and the sites are already laid out! Our unique building design can be almost completed in just a weekend.
-
Collect old candles, toilet paper rolls, and other items for our craft projects.
-
Pen a letter to one of our scholarship campers for them to receive while at camp in June or July (roughly 180 letters needed).
-
Help us open up camp for the season in March. Spring cleaning tasks will include pressuring washing, chain-sawing deadfall, deep-cleaning cabins, landscaping and clearing gutters.
-
We are always in need of the following items for our scholarship campers:
bug spray
rain ponchos
beach towels (gently-used is great!)
swimsuits (gently-used in youth medium through adult sizes)
travel-sized soaps, shampoo and deodorant
socks
underwear
sneakers (gently-used in youth 5 through adult sizes)
playing cards (Uno or other card games)
life jackets (water-sport type with three clasps, youth and adult sizes)
